Policy Benefits
This benefit provides You with a great way to protect and build a nest egg for Your family.In the unfortunate event of Your passing on, the selected Sum Assured and the value of the Investment Fund becomes payable to the Beneficiary or appointed administrator to your estate.
This benefit enables Your family to continue to live on as it provides them with the much needed capital with which to carry on.
These terms apply even to the Spouse Benefit explained below. For accidental causes of death, however, 100% of the Sum Assured is paid as benefit at any time
Spouse Funeral Benefit (SFB)
A spouse funeral benefit is embedded in the product and is limited to 10% of Your Sum Assured. All the terms on the life benefit apply to this benefit in the same proportions.
Investment Fund
You have the option to add an investment component to Your plan. The Investment Fund is accumulated from investments contributions made on the plan, less charges plus investment income accrued to You.
Medical treatment
A life assured who has an accident or injury or contracts any illness must as soon as possible procure proper medical attention and carry out and follow in full the medical instructions and advice given. Failure to do so will invalidate the potential claim.

Premium Products
Pru Dollar Platinum Saver is a single premium savings policy, designed to allow regular withdrawals by the insured over a fixed period.
Policy Benefits
The policyholder may make partial withdrawals up to 10.0% of the current account value after each completed year of the policy. If the policyholder chooses to withdraw less than 10.0%, the residual % carries forward and can be used in future years. Withdrawals are not limited to the policy anniversary, but a maximum of two withdrawals can be made in any policy year. The surrender charge is waived on these withdrawals.
At the end of the policy term the policyholder will receive the full account value plus a maturity bonus, if no withdrawals have been taken.
Paid at maturity, this is ‘X’% of the account value at maturity, where ‘X’ is the policy term in years. If there has been top up premiums paid, ‘X’ is the weighted average time (in years) from premium payment date to maturity date for all premiums paid. This bonus is only paid if no partial withdrawals were taken.

Scheme Benefits
With medical insurance each of the cover levels has two (2) major benefits namely OUT-PATIENT and IN-PATIENT. The benefits allocated cover medical expenses of members incurred within Zambia as well as those incurred when evacuated to the pre-determined countries depending on the policy plan.
Out-Patient services are the day-to-day hospital visits which includes consultation, lab tests and medication as well optical and dental services.
In-Patient services are services rendered when a member is admitted which includes but is not limited to accommodation, doctor or surgeons' fees and medication. Maternity benefits for both normal delivery and caesarean section procedures are covered to the benefit limit as per policy.

Group Credit Life
This is a policy that provides for the payment of an outstanding loan in the event of the occurrence of the death, disability, critical illness or retrenchment of the policy holder. This insurance plan also provides cover for the payment of an outstanding loan on consumer durable goods like; household items, electronics etc.

Total permanent disability
The TPD benefit shall become payable when the Life Assured becomes permanently unable to work in any occupation which the Life Assured is reasonably able to do, given his experience, education, or training, because of an injury or illness; subject to a waiting period of six months from the date of disablement.
Critical Illness
The Critical Illness benefit becomes payable when the Life Assured is diagnosed with certain defined illnesses.
Retrenchment
The loss of employment benefit due to retrenchment or redundancy will become payable on loss of employment, subject to the terms and conditions of the contract.
Group Life Assurance

A Group Life Assurance Policy provides lump sum death-in-service benefit to the dependents of a deceases employee. The policy is usually employer-sponsored. The level of cover (benefits) is often expressed as a multiple of the employee’s last notified annual salary. The policy may be issued with riders such as disability benefits, critical illness benefits, funeral benefits, and accidental death benefits. Group Life Assurance level of cover of benefits can also be stated as a flat sum.

The Accidental Death benefit becomes payable when death of the life assured is because of accidental causes.

Benefits per life will depend on your request but from practice the usual range is K 5 000 to K25 000 for employee, spouse etc.
